About

Hi, I'm Resh.

I'm a Lead UX and Product Designer based in St Albans. For more than fifteen years I've worked where complexity is real: clinical workflows, laboratory systems, payments operations and public services. I care about the operator on the other side of the screen as much as the strategy on the wall.

My background is in computer science, which is why I have always been comfortable close to engineering. Today that means prototyping in code with Claude Code, Cursor and Figma MCP, and designing systems that survive contact with real components, real regulation and real users.

In 2009 I co-founded Opticall, a home-visiting opticians and hearing care service that now serves 450+ care homes. Running it has taught me what no brief can: what it feels like to own the consequences of a design decision. In 2024 I founded Holistic Design AI, the consultancy through which I work with health, wellness and regulated businesses.

I believe design's value now sits in the judgement layer. AI can generate an interface in seconds. Knowing which problem to solve, for whom, and what to trade off is still the hard part, and it's the part I love.
